Having studied Speech & drama from an early age, I love the English language, drama and literature, taking part in many Feiseanna, Festivals and amateur drama productions during childhood and teens.
I attended a Gaelscoil for my primary schooling and went on to study two of my favourite subjects in University College Dublin; English & Irish. In 2009, I set up my own Children's Entertainment business (in the middle of a recession, that was a challenge!), entertaining at children's parties dressing as various characters, face painting, balloon modelling, as well as facilitating workshops in relaxation and crafts. This then evolved into Children's Storytelling and live performance for children. I perform regularly in schools, preschools and libraries. I have also performed on stage in The Civic Theatre in Tallaght, many festivals and events, including; Rathdrum Summer Songs, Way With Words Festival, Fairytale Festival, Bookville, Wainfest, Fingal Festival of Children's Literature. In 2019, I won an award in the category of Cultural Achievement from Junior Chamber Ireland and was shortlisted for their National Awards. In recent years, I have upskilled in acting for screen, stage and voice acting attending Masterclasses and workshops in Bow Street Academy, Gaiety School of Acting and The Lir Academy. I have also trained in Comedy Improv and feel it contributes greatly to my performances and creative work. Having read hundreds (quite literally!) of books aloud to children, along with writing and telling my own stories, I've been drawn to the wonderful profession of voice acting, ready to work in my own acoustically treated home studio or can travel to a client's studio. |
